What to Watch For

While these trucks are built to "Find New Roads," the paint sometimes prefers to find a way off the truck. Silverados are legendary for their "rock rash" on the leading edge of the hood and the front bumper, as the modern clear coats can be quite thin. If you're driving a white model like Olympic White or Summit White, keep an eye on your door handles and roof; these areas are known for paint flaking or "peeling" if a chip is left untreated for too long.

Apply it in thin layers and wait 20 minutes between dabs. This builds the color up slowly so it sits flush with the rest of your truck's finish.
