The Look

Jeep Champagne Pearl was the standard-bearer for Jeep's more civilized era at the turn of the millennium. It is a warm, earthy tan that suggests sophistication without losing that rugged Jeep identity. Since your vehicle has been on the road for over twenty years, this color is a lifesaver. It is excellent at hiding road dust and trail grime. It is the kind of shade that looks just as right on a muddy Wrangler in the woods as it does on a clean Grand Cherokee in the city.

Technical Details

This finish is a true Pearl, which means it contains fine mica particles that catch the light to create depth. The biggest challenge you will face is that these heavy pearl pigments like to settle at the bottom of the container. If you do not mix them well, you will apply a flat, muddy beige instead of that glowing metallic finish. Because pearls are slightly translucent, the final color also depends on how many layers you apply. Patience is a requirement for this finish.

Best Practices

Before you spray or dab Jeep Champagne Pearl (check for code TH/WTH), you need to shake it for a full 60 seconds. You will usually find your paint code on a sticker inside the driver's side door jamb or stamped on a metal plate under the hood near the radiator. Test the color on the included card to make sure the pearl effect matches your original paint. When you are ready to start, keep the container moving to prevent the mica from clustering in one spot. Always work in a garage or the shade to give the paint enough drying time.

Typical format: BS/GBS; only BS is the color code (also QBS, PBS, TBS, etc.). The first letter is a "Year Code". BS corresponds to Deep Water Blue Pearl Clearcoat; the G in GBS is not part of the color code. Lately, Jeep lists just BS.

Will absolutely order from this company again.

After ordering touch-up paint from Lexus I was still waiting for it a month later. If they'd told me upfront it would take that long I wouldn't have ordered in the first place. Will absolutely order from this company again. Reason I chose this business: Lexus collision repair and a local collision repair. Will use paint less dent removal and touch up chipped paint myself. Reason I chose this product: Spouse sideswiped passenger side of car while backing out of garage. Mostly plastic transfer from his wheel well trim but pressure creased and cracked the paint causing a bare strip 1/8 wide x 4" long below door handle. Scratches on door handle and a few small chips on both doors.

Simply the best custom mixed paint in spray cans

Used Paint Scratch metallic custom mixed spray cans paint on a hood panel with excellent coverage and texture over the surface. Metallic paint can be very unforgiving out of a spray can, sputtering pigmentation dots on the panel being sprayed and thus ruining the paint job. No such issues with Paint Scratch custom mixed metallic paint spray cans. Paint sprayed strong and evenly till the last drop of paint in the can. Shipping time was faster than expected. Reason I chose this business: Having tried other brands of custom mixed metallic paint with terrible results, sputtering pigmentation tint dots from the spray nozzle in spite of vigorously shaking of can prior to application and loss of propellant rendering the lower fifth of the can's paint useless, Paint Scratch custom mixed metallic paint sprays out beautifully and strong all the way to the last gram of paint in the can.
