The clear coat-while incredibly hard and UV-resistant-is often thinner than a dollar bill. Because it's so thin and brittle, it doesn't handle impacts well. Restoration Tip

Use a fine-tipped brush or a toothpick to apply a "whisper" of paint into the center of the chip. Let it dry for 15-20 minutes, then add another layer.
