The Look

This is the quintessential turn-of-the-millennium Jeep green. Whether you are driving a 1999 Wrangler or a 2000 Grand Cherokee, this color defines an era of ruggedness. It is a deep, moody forest green that can look almost black in the shade or under a thick layer of trail dust. However, once the sun hits it, the green comes alive with a sophisticated shimmer. Since your Jeep has likely been braving the elements since the late nineties, the original finish might have flattened slightly, making a fresh touch-up look surprisingly vibrant against the aged surrounding panels.

Technical Details

This is a true pearl finish, which gives the paint its characteristic depth. While it is excellent at hiding light road grime and dust, it is sensitive to how the pearls land on the surface. If you apply the paint too heavily in one spot, you risk "mottling," where the metallic flakes clump together and create dark, blotchy patches. This matters because a pearl finish relies on even light reflection to look uniform. To avoid this, apply your layers in thin, light passes rather than trying to get full coverage in one go.

Best Practices

Before you spray or dab Jeep Everglade Pearl (check for code PT/WPT), you need to shake it for 60 seconds. You can find your paint code on the driver's side door jamb sticker or on a metal plate located under the hood near the radiator support. Since those pearl flakes like to settle at the bottom of the container, constant mixing is your best friend. Test the color on the included card before moving to the vehicle to ensure the pigment has fully blended. Whether you are using a nozzle or a brush, keep the container moving to ensure the flakes distribute evenly across the repair. Give each layer plenty of drying time so the next coat doesn't move the pearls you just laid down.
