What to Watch For

Before you start dabbing, you need to find your "DNA" code. On the S90/V90, look for a silver plate; on modern models, it's usually on the driver's side center pillar (the B-pillar). If you're driving one of the classic 90s legends, pop the hood-you'll likely find it on the inner fender or the strut tower. Look for a three-digit number (like 417 or 452).

As for the paint itself, Volvo clear coats are sturdy, but they aren't fans of the sun. Keep a close eye on the roof and the leading edge of the hood.
