How to Find Your Ford Fiesta's Color Code

Ford paint color codes are on the drivers door jamb, on the color plate. The typical format is PM/M6599, though usually only PM appears. Example: PM corresponds to Bright Calypso Metallic Clearcoat PM/M6599; it may appear as PM Bright Calypso Metallic Clearcoat. Plates may show Exterior Paint Colors or EX PT; sometimes the color is embossed mid-plate. WB is wheelbase; above Wheel Base is EXT PNT, and to the right of EXT PNT is the code. Many mistake LX3 as the code.

The Color Breakdown

Ford didn't hold back when it came to the Fiesta. We have recorded a staggering 69 colors for this model. They really went for it, moving from the conservative Oxford White and Magnetic Metallic to the absolute high-visibility glory of Lime Squeeze Metallic, Bright Magenta Pearl, and Blue Candy Metallic Tricoat. Whether yours looks like a sophisticated daily driver or a highlighter on wheels, the Fiesta has one of the most expressive palettes in modern car history.

What to Watch For

While these colors are stunning, they can be a little sensitive. The paint on Fiestas-especially the early-to-mid 2010s models-is known for being on the thinner side. Keep a close eye on the leading edge of the hood and the front wheel arches, as these are magnet for stone chips. You might also notice the clear coat starting to get a bit flaky around the door handles or the rear hatch handle.

To find your specific shade, open the driver's side door and look at the sticker on the jamb. You're looking for a two-character code (like UX, RR, or Z2) next to the "EXT PNT" label.

Driveway Repair Tip

Since so many Fiesta colors are "Tricoats" or have heavy pearl and metallic flakes, your biggest challenge is getting those sparkles to behave. Before you touch the car, shake your touch-up bottle or pen for at least two full minutes. I'm serious-set a timer. This ensures the metallic "flakes" are suspended in the paint rather than sitting at the bottom of the bottle.

When you apply it, think "less is more." Use the tip of the brush to dab tiny amounts into the chip. If you try to fill a deep chip in one go, the color will look too dark. Doing three thin, dainty layers will give you a much better result than one big glob.
