Once you find the shine, remember the golden rule of 1982: It needs wax or it dies. Without a modern clear coat, you are the only thing standing between your paint and the elements. Seal it with a high-quality carnuba or polymer wax every few months, or you'll be back to that chalky finish before the next oil change.
