1965 Ford Truck Touch Up Paint (25 OEM Colors)

Use the paint code from the Ford Truck label and match it to the color page before ordering. The model page narrows the list, but the paint code decides the match.

For the Ford Truck, start with the make-specific code guidance: Ford paint color codes are on the drivers door jamb, on the color plate. The typical format is PM/M6599, though usually only PM appears. Example: PM corresponds to Bright Calypso Metallic Clearcoat PM/M6599; it may appear as PM Bright Calypso Metallic Clearcoat. Plates may show Exterior Paint Colors or EX PT; sometimes the color is embossed mid-plate. WB is wheelbase; above Wheel Base is EXT PNT, and to the right of EXT PNT is the code. Many mistake LX3 as the code. If the label is missing, ask a dealer parts department for a VIN lookup before ordering paint.

The paint code is safer than the color name. Similar names can appear on different years, models, or makes.

Use the paint code guide, check other label locations, or ask a dealer to look up the code by VIN before ordering.

Yes. Body paint, trim paint, wheel paint, textured parts, and special finishes can use different materials or codes for Ford Truck. Match the exterior paint code for body-color repairs, and verify a separate finish before ordering paint for trim, wheels, or unpainted parts.

For Ford Truck repair, use a pen for tiny chips, a bottle for small chips or short scratches, a spray can for larger areas that can be masked, and PRO sizes for panel or spray-gun work. Choose a kit when the repair also needs primer, clearcoat, sanding, or polishing supplies.
