Your Paint Color Profile

29221PP - Arizona Beige Metallic

The Look

This isn't a showroom luxury shade; it is a professional workhorse. Since your vehicle has likely been on the road or the job site for decades, you know that this beige is the king of hiding dust and road grime. It is a grounded, earthy tone that gave countless utility trucks and commercial fleets a clean, uniform look from 1966 through the turn of the millennium. Because your project has likely spent years under the sun, the original finish might look a bit more matte today than it did when it first left the factory.

Technical Details

This is a metallic finish, which means it relies on tiny aluminum flakes to catch the light. These flakes are much heavier than the beige pigment and will sink to the bottom of your container if you aren't careful. If you don't get them mixed perfectly, your repair might end up looking like a flat, muddy tan instead of a shimmering metallic. You also want to watch out for mottling, those dark spots or stripes that happen when the flakes cluster together rather than laying flat across the surface.

Best Practices

Before you spray or dab Fleet Arizona Beige Metallic (check for code 29221PP), you need to shake it for at least 60 seconds to wake up those metallic particles. You can typically find your code on a metal plate in the driver's door jamb or on a sticker inside the glove box. Test the color on the included card to ensure the flake distribution looks right before you touch up your vehicle. To avoid dark clusters of metallic, keep the container moving across the surface at a steady pace. If you are working in a cool garage or under deep shade, give it a little extra drying time between coats to let the metallic settle properly.

How to Find Your Fleet's Color Code

Fleet is the catch all for individual color codes not associated with any brand or make, full of PPG, Axalta, Sherwin Williams, etc. If only a color code for something to be painted is available, the site can be checked; if it cannot be found, they can be notified and they will see if they can make the paint.

Will absolutely order from this company again.

After ordering touch-up paint from Lexus I was still waiting for it a month later. If they'd told me upfront it would take that long I wouldn't have ordered in the first place. Paint Scratch was recommended by a friend who restores cars. Easy ordering, fair price and fast shipping. The color match is great especially considering my car is a 2012. Will absolutely order from this company again. Reason I chose this business: Lexus collision repair and a local collision repair. Will use paint less dent removal and touch up chipped paint myself. Reason I chose this product: Spouse sideswiped passenger side of car while backing out of garage. Mostly plastic transfer from his wheel well trim but pressure creased and cracked the paint causing a bare strip 1/8 wide x 4" long below door handle. Scratches on door handle and a few small chips on both doors.

Simply the best custom mixed paint in spray cans

Used Paint Scratch metallic custom mixed spray cans paint on a hood panel with excellent coverage and texture over the surface. Metallic paint can be very unforgiving out of a spray can, sputtering pigmentation dots on the panel being sprayed and thus ruining the paint job. No such issues with Paint Scratch custom mixed metallic paint spray cans. Paint sprayed strong and evenly till the last drop of paint in the can. Shipping time was faster than expected. Reason I chose this business: Having tried other brands of custom mixed metallic paint with terrible results, sputtering pigmentation tint dots from the spray nozzle in spite of vigorously shaking of can prior to application and loss of propellant rendering the lower fifth of the can's paint useless, Paint Scratch custom mixed metallic paint sprays out beautifully and strong all the way to the last gram of paint in the can. Simply the best custom mixed paint in spray cans for automotive restoration. Thank you Paint Scratch.
