The Look

This shade is a piece of 1971 history that didn't stick around long, making it a rare find on the road today. Unlike the brighter, more common silvers of the era, this color has a deeper, industrial character that leans into a cool, steely grey. Because your Chevy has likely been through five decades of sun and road wear, the original finish has probably matured. This color is excellent at masking light road dust and minor surface scratches, but it will highlight every ripple in the metal, so make sure your surface is as flat as possible before you begin.

Technical Details

The "Poly" in the name confirms this is a metallic finish, which means the paint is packed with tiny light-reflecting flakes. These flakes are the reason the color looks so deep, but they also create a challenge for the repair.
