What to Watch For

If you own a Legend, you likely know its one true kryptonite: the sun. These cars were built during an era when clear coats were still finding their footing, and it's very common to see "cloudy" spots or peeling on the roof, hood, and trunk. Before you start your repair, you'll need your specific paint code. You can find it on a sticker located on the driver's side door jamb. Keep an eye out for a code starting with NH or R (like NH-509 or R-81). Be careful with the red and green shades like Canterberry Green-they tend to get a little tired after decades in the driveway, so the color may look slightly deeper in your bottle than it does on your faded fender.

Driveway Repair Tip
