You can order from PaintScratch with confidence. If something isn’t right, we’ll make it right quickly.
Our Guarantee
If your paint does not match, we’ll issue a replacement or refund.
Damaged or defective items will be replaced or refunded.
Unused accessories and tools can be returned for a refund.
All paint is custom mixed. If there’s an issue, we’ll resolve it fairly.
Requests must be submitted within 75 days of ordering.
Where We Ship
- We currently ship within the United States only.
- Due to carrier regulations, paint and spray products cannot ship internationally, including to Canada.
Order Processing & Shipping
- All orders are custom mixed to your paint code.
- Most orders ship within 5 business days.
- Some colors may take up to 10 business days if additional research is required.
- You’ll receive a confirmation email once your order ships.
Shipping methods:
- Spray cans: FedEx or UPS (ground, with tracking)
- Paint pens & bottles: USPS (tracking may vary)
Shipping times depend on location, carrier, and seasonal volume.
Shipping Restrictions
- Spray cans and catalyzed products ship ground only.
- Paint products cannot ship overnight or 2-day air due to hazardous material regulations.
Order Changes & Cancellations
Because all paint is custom made:
- Orders cannot be changed or canceled once production begins.
- Custom-mixed paint cannot be restocked or resold.
Shipping Costs
Shipping rates are calculated automatically at checkout.
Free shipping promotions may apply to qualifying U.S. orders.
Custom Matching & Special Cases
For older vehicles, rare colors, repaints, or missing paint codes, custom matching provides the best accuracy. You can mail in a small painted part (such as a fuel door) for a hand-matched color.
If a color formula is unavailable or cannot be remixed, our paint technicians will review your request and either:
- Issue a refund, or
- Recommend a custom hand match.
Requesting a Replacement or Refund
Start by submitting your request with:
- Your email and invoice number
- A description of the issue
- Up to 3 clear photos of the product
A paint technician will review your case. Once confirmed, we’ll issue a refund or replacement promptly.
Most cases are reviewed within 2 business days.
No return shipment is required before review.

- Test the paint first on a glossy surface or hidden area before applying it to your vehicle.
