First experience with PaintScratch was successful
Bad Toyota paint on my wife's white 2013 Corolla led to paint peeling and rust on the roof and paint peeling off large parts of the remainder of the car (especially the hood, top of the trunk and top of the quarter panels). I was told by a reputable body shop that it might cost more than the car is worth to properly repaint it. I did my research online, found PaintScratch, and decided to tackle it myself with no experience beyond using a touch-up pen. I bought the kit with 12 oz each of primer, paint and clearcoat and a few extra supplies including the 4 oz Rust Away, sandpaper, a disposable paint respirator, and filler spreaders. I did the roof with these supplies and my dremel and drill with a sanding attachment although I was a little short on paint so only got two coats (but that was more than expected from a single 12 oz can so no complaints). I expect to be back to order more supplies for the remainder of the peeled paint areas. I know that the unstripped paint will continue to peel over time but it will look much better for a while and I can do it again in a few years if needed.
