Order Problems

Shipping Information
When we receive your order, we must research the formula, check for any updated formula information and then custom make the order. The order is then tested for accuracy and sent out for shipment. Check here for approximate shipping times.

Paint can only be shipped via ground service as paint is considered hazardous.

Shipping/Handling Charges
Paint bottles and smaller item sizes ship via the USPS. The first bottle or paint pen of paint ordered is $7.95 for shipping/handling. Additional containers of paint are $1.00 shipping each. Spray cans ship FedEx/UPS and the first spray can is $14.95 for shipping/handling. Additional spray cans are $1.00. Extra items ordered (such as sandpaper, rubbing compound, etc.) adds an additional $1.00 per item except when ordered on the PaintScratch Store where each item has it's own shipping charge.

International Shipments The only products we can ship to international addresses are the paint pens and 1oz. and 2oz. size of basecoats, midcoats, clearcoats and primer. We cannot ship any other products to these addresses!
All international orders are charged an additional $9.95 for shipping. In addition, there may be customs and/or brokerage fees due from your country and/or carrier.

Canadian Shipments
Canada Customs requires Canadian recipients to pay applicable duties and taxes on each shipment entering Canada. These charges may include PST, GST, HST, duties and other taxes of goods (e.g. excise tax). A brokerage fee is also charged to process shipments and present the requisite customs paperwork to Canada Customs on the importer's behalf. Your order will be shipped under UPS's e-Tailer Brokerage Program (eBP), where eligible shipments imported into Canada for non-commercial purposes and valued under CAD$ 200 shipped via UPS Standard service are subject to a reduced brokerage fee of CAD$ 10, plus any applicable duties and taxes. Shipments valued at CAD$200 and above and/or being imported to Canada for commercial purposes and/or subject to specialized clearance may incur additional fees. Please, be aware that UPS will request payment of these charges at the time of delivery. You have the ability to call UPS ahead of time (1-800-742-5877) to pay these charges, eliminating the need for payment on delivery.

All international shipments to countries outside the United States are sent via the United States Postal Service. Delivery can take up to two months in some countries. Check with your local postal system for approximate shipping times for an estimate before ordering.

Ordering more than one paint

Our order form only lets you order one paint color at a time. If you need to order more than one color, follow these steps.
I received the wrong paint
This happens as we custom mix every order and it's possible to mix up everything from labeling to what paint goes in which package. Please let us know immediately by filling out the problem form so we can assist you.
How long does it take to receive my order
We custom mix each order so most orders are shipped within five business days. Some paint formulas take research so it may take up to 10 business days before we have the information to make your order. When you check the status of your order, it will tell you how many orders are in front of you and the number of business days until your order ships. The number of days shown is approximate and it can depend on how fast we are processing the orders in front of you.

If you order spray cans, they are shipped via the FedEx/UPS and you will also receive a tracking number and an expected delivery date. If you order paint pens or brush cap bottles, these ship via the USPS and no tracking information is available. Once your order is made, you can check here for approximate shipping times.

I never received my Order
If you do not receive your order in a timely manner  please fill out the problem form so we can assist you. You should note the website says
"Most orders will ship within five business days, but some orders may take up to ten business days before they ship. Shipping time can take 2-14 business days (depending on your location, products ship from San Leandro, CA) via the USPS or FedEx/UPS (spray cans and larger sizes).
Overnight/2nd day air shipments
We cannot ship paint overnight because automotive paint is considered hazardous and cannot be shipped via air.
Countries where we can ship to.
 If your country is not on this list, it is because your country has stringent Customs. Because paint is considered hazardous, the order is automatically confiscated and destroyed. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we have no control over this.
Order Cancellations
Since we custom mix each order, we cannot just put your order back on our shelf. Out of every 10,000 orders we receive on our site, approximately 9,000 of them are for unique colors! We often will begin working on your order as soon as it is placed. Custom mixing paint costs money and takes time and energy and therefore we do not allow order cancellations.
Credit Card Charges
Because each order is custom made, we must charge your card so we can begin working on your order.
We can only ship Spray Cans and larger sizes to the USA and USA territories.
We cannot find a carrier who will ship spray cans and larger sizes out of the United States. We recommend buying the 2oz. size (or larger) and using the Preval Sprayer available at any auto parts store.
