Your Paint Color Profile

A6W/3P - Crystal Green Metallic

The Look

Your Panamera carries a shade that separates it from the sea of grayscale executive sedans. This color avoids the loud, neon tendencies of Porsche's racing greens, opting instead for a muted, icy leaf tone. Since your car has likely spent over a decade on the road, you probably notice how the finish shifts from a dusty silver in the shade to a crisp, organic green under direct sunlight. It is a sophisticated choice that matches the heavy, grounded presence of the early 2010s Porsche design.

Technical Details

This is a metallic finish, which means the appearance relies entirely on how the tiny metal flakes lay down. Because these particles are heavier than the pigment, they have a habit of sinking to the bottom of the container. If you apply the paint too heavily in one spot, the flakes will cluster and create dark, blotchy patches. If you apply it too lightly, the repair will look dry and won't catch the light the same way as the factory finish. Consistency is your only goal here.

Best Practices

Before you spray or dab Porsche Crystal Green Metallic (check for code A6W/3P), you need to shake the container for a full minute to get those flakes moving. You can usually find your factory paint code on a white paper sticker inside the spare tire well or tucked into the back of your service manual. Test the color on the included card first to see how the metallic particles settle. When you move to the car, keep the container moving and use light, overlapping passes. Give each layer enough drying time so the paint doesn't sag or trap the flakes in a muddy pile.

How to Find Your Porsche's Color Code

Porsche paint codes are often hard to find. They are usually near the spare tire area, printed on a paper color ID tag that may fall off with time. The owner's manual for some models sometimes lists paint codes. Porsche uses the same color across different models, and the same code may appear under different color names. Codes can be four characters starting with L or three characters, using letters and numbers.

Will absolutely order from this company again.

After ordering touch-up paint from Lexus I was still waiting for it a month later. If they'd told me upfront it would take that long I wouldn't have ordered in the first place. Paint Scratch was recommended by a friend who restores cars. Easy ordering, fair price and fast shipping. The color match is great especially considering my car is a 2012. Will absolutely order from this company again. Reason I chose this business: Lexus collision repair and a local collision repair. Will use paint less dent removal and touch up chipped paint myself. Reason I chose this product: Spouse sideswiped passenger side of car while backing out of garage. Mostly plastic transfer from his wheel well trim but pressure creased and cracked the paint causing a bare strip 1/8 wide x 4" long below door handle. Scratches on door handle and a few small chips on both doors.

Simply the best custom mixed paint in spray cans

Used Paint Scratch metallic custom mixed spray cans paint on a hood panel with excellent coverage and texture over the surface. Metallic paint can be very unforgiving out of a spray can, sputtering pigmentation dots on the panel being sprayed and thus ruining the paint job. No such issues with Paint Scratch custom mixed metallic paint spray cans. Paint sprayed strong and evenly till the last drop of paint in the can. Shipping time was faster than expected. Reason I chose this business: Having tried other brands of custom mixed metallic paint with terrible results, sputtering pigmentation tint dots from the spray nozzle in spite of vigorously shaking of can prior to application and loss of propellant rendering the lower fifth of the can's paint useless, Paint Scratch custom mixed metallic paint sprays out beautifully and strong all the way to the last gram of paint in the can. Simply the best custom mixed paint in spray cans for automotive restoration. Thank you Paint Scratch.
