Because your car has been on the road for nearly two decades, the original pigment may have shifted slightly from its factory state. Red is a "living" color that loves to soak up UV rays, so the way you apply this touch-up will determine if it disappears into the bodywork or stands out against the aging finish.

Technical Details

This is a solid finish, which is a significant advantage for your repair. Unlike metallics, you do not have to worry about tiny metal flakes standing up or laying flat and creating dark spots or "tiger stripes." However, the challenge with a solid red is the weight of the pigment. Red paint particles are notoriously heavy and love to settle at the bottom of the container.
