Technical Details

This is a complex three-stage finish consisting of a solid base, a pearlescent mid-coat, and a protective top layer. Unlike standard metallic paints where the sparkle is mixed into the color, this pearl layer sits on top like a translucent veil. This creates a specific challenge: if you apply the mid-coat too heavy, the repair will look yellow or cream compared to the rest of the car.
