Your Paint Color Profile

TE/VTE - Champagne Pearl

The Look

Your Eagle Vision is a rare bird. This car represents the very end of the Eagle brand's short life, and choosing this color was a statement of late-90s elegance. It is a sophisticated mix of beige and gold that feels more premium than the flat whites and greys of that era. Since your car has been on the road for over two decades, you will likely notice that the finish has a soft, glowing quality rather than a harsh sparkle. It hides road dust well, but it deserves to be kept clean to let that underlying warmth show through.

Technical Details

This is a pearl finish, which means it uses crushed mica instead of standard metal flakes to create its shine. Unlike a simple solid color, pearls are sensitive to how they are applied. If you put the paint on too thick in one spot, the pearl particles will clump together and make the repair look dark or cloudy. You want to focus on light, thin layers to build the color. This depth is what gives the car its character, but it requires patience to match the surrounding panel exactly.

Best Practices

You can find your paint code on the driver's side door jamb or on a plate near the radiator support under the hood. Before you spray or dab Eagle Champagne Pearl (check for code TE/VTE), you must shake the container for at least sixty seconds. The pearl particles are heavy and settle at the bottom quickly. Test the color on the included card to see how it looks once it is dry. When you are ready to work on the car, keep the container moving at all times to ensure the finish stays even. Give each layer enough drying time so the next pass does not pull the paint or create streaks.

How to Find Your Eagle's Color Code

Where to find the Eagle paint color code: Determined directly by Eagle. When a color code is not present, the designated reference is the PPG or Dupont (Axalta) paint formula number. Practically, the source for the code is Eagle; lacking a code, identification proceeds by the PPG or Dupont (Axalta) formula number. This outlines that Eagle handles color codes, while PPG or Dupont (Axalta) formulas apply if a code is absent.

Will absolutely order from this company again.

After ordering touch-up paint from Lexus I was still waiting for it a month later. If they'd told me upfront it would take that long I wouldn't have ordered in the first place. Paint Scratch was recommended by a friend who restores cars. Easy ordering, fair price and fast shipping. The color match is great especially considering my car is a 2012. Will absolutely order from this company again. Reason I chose this business: Lexus collision repair and a local collision repair. Will use paint less dent removal and touch up chipped paint myself. Reason I chose this product: Spouse sideswiped passenger side of car while backing out of garage. Mostly plastic transfer from his wheel well trim but pressure creased and cracked the paint causing a bare strip 1/8 wide x 4" long below door handle. Scratches on door handle and a few small chips on both doors.

Simply the best custom mixed paint in spray cans

Used Paint Scratch metallic custom mixed spray cans paint on a hood panel with excellent coverage and texture over the surface. Metallic paint can be very unforgiving out of a spray can, sputtering pigmentation dots on the panel being sprayed and thus ruining the paint job. No such issues with Paint Scratch custom mixed metallic paint spray cans. Paint sprayed strong and evenly till the last drop of paint in the can. Shipping time was faster than expected. Reason I chose this business: Having tried other brands of custom mixed metallic paint with terrible results, sputtering pigmentation tint dots from the spray nozzle in spite of vigorously shaking of can prior to application and loss of propellant rendering the lower fifth of the can's paint useless, Paint Scratch custom mixed metallic paint sprays out beautifully and strong all the way to the last gram of paint in the can. Simply the best custom mixed paint in spray cans for automotive restoration. Thank you Paint Scratch.
