Technical Details

This finish is a pearl tricoat, which means it uses a specific layering process to achieve its depth. Unlike a solid color, pearl paints use a translucent middle layer filled with tiny reflective flakes. The benefit is a finish that catches the light from every angle, but the risk is that the final shade depends entirely on how many layers you apply. If you use too much of the mid-coat, the repair will look darker or more yellow than the rest of the panel. If you use too little, the repair will look flat and won't match the surrounding shimmer.
