Technical Details

This is a solid finish, which means it contains no metallic flakes or pearls to hide behind. The advantage is that you do not have to worry about flakes settling unevenly or creating stripes. However, when applied correctly, it provides a bottomless depth that modern metallic paints cannot replicate. Best Practices

You can usually find your identification tag stamped onto a metal plate on the firewall or tucked inside the driver's side door jamb. Before you spray or dab Dodge Black (check for code X15/PX1), you need to shake it for 60 seconds. This ensures the heavy black pigments are fully suspended so the color comes out uniform. Always test the color on the included card to check the match against your current level of paint fade. When applying, keep the container moving to prevent the paint from pooling or running.
