 Hi,
About 4 or 5 fives days ago I finished painting my fender skirts on my 76 buick electra..They turned out very very nice..Excellent color match and coverage.. In my steps, I sandblasted them, sanded them down, tacked them, etch primered, sanded, tacked, high build primered, sanded, tacked, 4 to 5 medium coats waiting about 10 to 15 minutes between coats and waited 4 days to buff them out with the compound..This is your single stage paint..Question is what kind of drying time am I looking for with these..Even after 5 to 6 days they seem soft..Easily scratched. I am worried about putting them on the car. They seem very fragile. I have alread fixed them due to them being bumped and the paint coming off down to the primer. It never goes to the steel though. Do the spray cans have hardner in them? Let me know what you think, and possibly some advise. Thanks! |

| What is the temperature and humidity in your area? Usually 3 days is enough drying time. |

Hi,
It was about 80 degrees when I sprayed them with about 40 to 45% humidity, but after I sprayed them I brought them in the house right away to dry..The temp of the house is about 68 with lower humidity..That's where they are right now..I was waiting to see if they would harden up? Thanks!
