I have a project in which I want to refinish a wood guitar body with a color of automotive paint I see you have a mix for. My concern is the compatibility of your product with the finish that is on the guitar body already. The current surface is in perfect condition, no scratches or exposed wood, requiring only a minor amout of toothing using 400-600 wet/dry paper. The guitar is a current Asian import from a china factory. My feeling is the finish is a polyurethane (perhaps even UV cured, unsure of that). Is there a way I can test this current finish in an inconspicuous area for compatibility issues? I'm a whiz with spray cans and have had great results with other products (typically laquer based) on many obscure projects.

| Get a bit of lacquer paint from your local auto parts store and try it on the surface. Just something close as they probably won't have the exact color you want,. I think it will be fine. If it works, then order the color you want from us. |
