Restoration Tip

When you see the clear coat starting to lift around a stone chip, don't wait for the wind to do the rest of the work. On a 1995 Hummer, once that clear starts to "ghost" (turn white and lift), it'll peel back in sheets. Seal your chips immediately. If you're doing a repair, you need to "feather" the edges of the remaining clear coat with fine-grit sandpaper until you can't feel the ridge with your fingernail.
