My question doesn't quite fit into any forum.

One of the places I am thinking of using your products is in the "service areas" of my '98 barritz blue BMW (paint code 363).  I am interested in paint the trunk well area, which from the factory has a matte appearance and, obviously, no clear coat.

Will your basecoat paint alone be suitable for this purpose?

Craig.

I would always cover the basecoat with a clear as the basecoat by itself will fail without the clearcoat protection.

I have a 1993 Toyota Camry that was in a wreck many years ago.  The vehicle was repaired but the paint on one of the fenders went to totally flat after a year or so.  I was wondering if a lack of clear coat caused the paint to go flat and what I need to do to repair that to make the paint match the rest of the paint on the vehicle.

Was it shiny first then went flat? It may just need polishing with rubbing compound so I would try that first.
