I mistakenly used a rubbing compound on a scratch and now there is a dull spot on the paint, I assume from damaging the clearcoat.. How do I fix this? Thanks in advance.

Assuming the underlying basecoat is intact, apply more clearcoat, wait three days and rub it out.
