I have Honda Civic '01 in Beige color. 2 weeks ago, I got my front and rear bumper scratches painted by a mobile paint & repair guy. He has applied a color which is not matching with my bumper's original color. When I asked him why, he said because the paint is new and wet. After 2 weeks, I should rub the entire bumper with a rubbing compound. This will mix the 2 colors. it's been 2 weeks, but I haven't applied the rubbing compound yet. I am not sure if it will do the job. On a sunny day, it is hard to diffferentiate, but on a cloudy day, the patches appear significantly.
Please advise what should I do to mix the two colours. Should I go ahead with rubbing compound ?
Any help is appreciated. |

If it doesn't match before the rubbing compound, it won't match after. Sounds like a poor color match. |
