Find Your Volvo Color and Volvo Paint Code
Volvo codes are not easy to find as they can be anywhere in the engine compartment. Typically they are on the radiator support, but can also be found on the sheet metal on either side of the engine compartment. So this can be challenging. Most of the Volvo paint color codes are three numbers.
Example Volvo color code:
The Volvo color code in the example above is "421".
The typical color code format is:
421 corresponds to Dark Olive Pearl Clearcoat.
Same Color Code, Different Name
Volvo, like all manufacturers, uses the exact same color across many models and then will have a different color name for each model. It's the same paint! This is why the color code is so important to order the correct paint.
For example,421, above we call Dark Olive Pearl Clearcoat.. It could also be called Dark Green Clearcoat, Mystic Green Clearcoat, etc. depending on what the marketing department decided to call it.
