If your Acura has been sitting under the sun, you're likely fighting "Delamination"-that's when the clear coat decides to part ways with the base color, leaving you with those ugly, milky white flakes on the roof and trunk. The golden rule for 1994 paint is to seal your chips immediately. Once a rock chip breaks the surface, moisture creeps under the edge of the clear coat and starts the delamination process. If you see the clear beginning to lift or bubble around a chip, use a fine-grit abrasive to very gently feather the edge of the failing clear before applying your touch-up. You want to lock that edge down and seal it from the elements before the "peeling skin" effect takes over the entire panel.
