This may be off topic I realize. I recently purchased a used vehicle and notice that the area on the steering column around the ignition is scratched up from what I assume is either a key or keychain. I would like to tidy this area up but not sure how to do it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. A little more info: 2002 Toyota 4runner, the plastic on the steering column is black and they are basically hundreds of surface scratches in a circular pattern that cover an area 3"x3".

I think I would use a spray can to fix these. Scuff the area, use Bulldog Ahesion Promoter ( we sell it on the site) and then apply primer, basecoat, clearcoat. I'm not sure what your exact color is though.
