Hello. I need to paint the underside of my bumper, because I went up this really steep ramp and scratched it up. Some of the scratches show up when looking at from the front, so I decided to paint it. I ordered some spray cans from here, because the scrapes are kinda wide.

Here's the problem. Because I have to take the bumper off when I do this, I would like to prime, paint, and clear coat the thing in one day. It's a pain to put this bumper back on. But I don't have 3 days to paint this, which is what the site recommends. I need to use my car.

The site recommends this:

-2 coats of base
-final coat of base
-clear.

What would be the minimum amount of time I need to wait in between all of those steps? The rubbing compound will be easy enough to apply without needing to take the bumper off, so I don't mind waiting the three days  for that.

Thanks

You really should what overnight at least between the basecoat and clearcoat steps.
