Hey,

I am repainting the left rear bumper of my red Cherokee Classic.  I have sprayed the color paint (feathering) to an edge.  This morning I began spraying the clearcoat, but I am unsure as to how much to put on.  I have been applying it in fairly thin coats, just spraying over an area a few times in a side to side motion.  The color is perfect, but the coat doesn't have a shine to match the rest of the car.  Should I keep applying clearcoat, stop to use rubbing compound, or have I used too much (6 thin coats so far)?

I forgot to buy your rubbing compound so I purchased No. 7 clearcoat polishing compound. Is this ok?

Thanks
