;DHi, I have a two year old Sienna that has some light blistering in the clearcoat on the hood from birds, sap ect. What is the best way to fix this?
The paint is 8Q0 Dark Blue Metallic Clearcoat.

If it ate through the clearcoat and damaged the paint, you will have to sand and repaint the area. Otherwise, you should be able to use some rubbing compound and smooth the clearcoat.

I do have some chips that look like they go through the clearcoat, throught the base, and to the top of the primer (white). If I were to try rubbing compound on them, am I wasting my time. (I'm trying to avoid sanding cause I would like to keep this them smaller than an eraser.) Am I off base, or what.... :o
