"Not suitable for anything larger than a pencil eraser!" When describing the paint pen, does this 'larger' refer to deepness of the scratch or the wideness of the scratch? I think it means the deepness of the scratch.

Just the total surface area of the scratch. Depth wouldn't matter as much as you would need to fill the dent first before painting.
