I recently used some touch up paint to cover up a paint chip. I'm fairly new at this but the paint blob looks like it has craters, maybe due to air pockets? |

I would use rubbing compound to first smooth the paint and then apply more paint, use rubbing compound again if necessary until the area is smooth. |
