Hi,

I have about a 1 inch scratch (to the metal it appears) on the door edge of the passenger side of my car. It is barely noticable, but I do I do not want it to rust or become a bigger problem. The scratch is very thin. I was thinking of using the paint pen, primer, and clearcoat. Is this okay. The color of the car is magnesium metallic.

Depending on how wide it is. The paint pen is good for small scratches that are less than 1/8" inch in width. Also see https://www.paintscratch.com/whatorder.htm#scratch for more information.
