I've tried searching everywhere for a clear answer on this, but this seems the best place to ask. I recently misjudged my cars turning radius by about 4cm and scuffed up the lower portion of my cars bumper pretty decently. I've never performed any type of body work/painting before, but figured as long as the bumper is going to be replaced, I might as well give it a shot and see if I can fix it to possibly prevent that from happening. I have 4 pictures, the first 2 look bad because I had already started wetsanding with 400 grit on the major scrape only, and 2000 grit on all of the scratches and paint. This really got everything smooth. |

Sounds good, but if you are spray painting a non-metal surface, such as a urethane bumper, you should order the Bulldog Adhesion Promoter as this is required for proper paint adhesion. The Adhesion Promoter is only required when you are spraying the paint and not for the touch up bottles and paint pens. Rubberized Primer is still recommended for unpainted non-metal surfaces and should be applied over the Bulldog Adhesion Promoter. So: Bulldog, Rubberized Primer, Basecoat, and then you need to Clearcoat to get it to shine. |
