what is the best way to get rid of rust. Can you grind it all away and then fill it or do you have to put new metal in. |

If the rust has created holes in the metal, you will want to cut these sections out and put in new metal. If you have rust that has not eaten all the way through with good metal left, you can use a rust converter to stop the rust and prevent it from spreading. Using the rust converter is very important as just grinding the areas and applying primer will not stop the rust. |

The rust converter is only good for surface rust. if you have actual rust holes, the rust converter will not work as this metal should be replaced. |
